Chief Marketing Officer

About Kinetic Blocks

Kinetic Blocks is a B2B marketplace for commercially licensed, provenance-tracked robot training data, covering egocentric human video, teleoperation recordings and robot execution data. Every dataset is verified against its files and given a KB Quality grade before it is listed, and every delivery comes in LeRobot format with chain-of-custody documentation.

The company was incorporated in Oslo in June 2026 and opened in beta on 1 September with several data vendors under MoU. Kinetic Blocks is a member of NVIDIA Inception.

The role

We are hiring our first Chief Marketing Officer, based in the Bay Area. This is a senior position, responsible for the customer list, onboarding, marketing and the newsletter, and it is hands-on: you would join the current team of four across Oslo, Boston and San Francisco, and build the marketing function as the company grows.

What you will be responsible for

  • The full customer list across buyers, sellers and partners.
  • Onboarding, so that every new account reaches its first listing or its first purchase on the platform.
  • Building and executing marketing towards robotics companies, frontier labs and data suppliers.
  • Writing and publishing the Kinetic Blocks newsletter.

Who we are looking for

  • You have at least two to three years of experience in the robotics industry.
  • You have sold or marketed data, AI infrastructure or robotics products to technical buyers.
  • You write well enough to carry the newsletter personally.
  • You are comfortable working hands-on in a small team spread across three cities and two continents.
  • You are based in the Bay Area.

Compensation and timing

The position is offered with salary and equity. It will be filled as soon as our pre-seed round closes in October, so we want to start conversations now with candidates who can begin shortly after.

About this role
How many years have you worked in the robotics industry?
Are you based in the Bay Area, or prepared to relocate there?

Name the products and the kind of buyer. A few sentences is enough.

A newsletter, post or article. The role writes our newsletter, so this helps us more than a cover letter would.

Work authorisation
Are you legally authorised to work in the United States?
Will you now or in the future need visa sponsorship to work in the United States?

Answering yes does not rule you out. It tells us what an offer would involve.

Anything else

For example extra time, captions or a step-free venue. Used only to arrange your interviews.
